Default All-weather rubber mats question and a dealer compliment...

How many here use them, and is there any trick to maintenance? Maybe like treating them with some sort of rubber protector or something?

As for the dealer compliment, I e-mailed my salesman asking if they had them in stock and how much they were. He responded that they did have them and that he'd buy them (or any audi accessory I desired) for me on his employee discount and pass the savings on to me.

Not sure if this is common practice, encouraged or even allowed but it sure was an unexpected little bit of customer attention.

Anyone who's looking for a dealer in NJ can drop me an e-mail for a reccomentation.

Default They work great.

Some have washed them before installing to get rid of the rubber smell.

Default Very nice mats. I didn't even take them out this summer....

Just left 'em in. Easy to clean and work well too.

I have them also. Great mats, and no treatment required.

Default Have them in both cars...highly recommended.

I use Einzett Premium Cockpit to treat them every once in a while just to dress them up. Just spray on a rag and wipe on. Not soaking them. I don't want to make them too slipery.

Here's a partial pic of the front Audi mat. You can see, you get sand and junk on the mat, not your carpet.

Default Buy them , we have a set in our car...

They are great. Hit them with some Fantastic and a brush, hose them off. This is how I maintain our mats. I just wish POrsche would get on the ball and make them for the Boxster, don't like the weather tech versions(sub par).

Default Great buy - just be aware they smell for a while

Very strong rubber/plastic smell that my wife hated... but it goes away after a while. Great otherwise.
