Parking & head light illumination LED's went out. Strange?

Parking & head light illumination LED's went out. Strange?
I was sitting letting my car warm up w/ my parking lights on. While I was sitting there I noticed just my prkng & hdlght illuminated symbols above the switch start blinking almost like a short. Now they are out completely. I thought LED's lasted pretty long, so I'm worried about a short. But all the others are OK ( off position, fog lights etc.) So far no burning smell. Just worried about that headlight harness fire, I've heard about.

Huh, same thing......
About two weeks ago I noticed the same lights were out. At first I thought I had just blown an LED although I know they are supposed to last longer. But every once in awhile they blink and then go out again - mostly when I first turn the lights on. My guess is something is just loose and although annoying, I'm not too worried. Wonder if this is common...it is an Audi!
