Price Check
I've got a line on a new (new to me, that is) A6. The guy wants 17,500 for it.
2001 A6
2.7T quattro
6 speed
sport suspension
cold weather package
preferred luxury package
premium package
tan leather interior
dark blue exterior
Bose + cd changer
foglights
HID headlights
55,000 miles
I test drove it today and it appears to be in pretty good shape with just a few minor scratches in the bumper paint.
I've been looking for a 6 speed 2.7T for a while so I can install the AWE RSK04 kit for 440hp. :-) I just thought I'd check here to see if this price is in the right ballpark.

The guy needs the money and he knows I can just cut him a check. He doesn't want to be bothered with the whole autotrader/newspaper ad/dealer thing. He replaced it with an M5 so a couple of grand either way isn't going to change his life. :-)
So the consensus seems to be that this is a good number. Coolio.
I'll hang onto my A4 for a few weeks while I'm upgrading the turbos/exhaust/intercoolers/clutch/etc. The "ancestral family business" is a tuning/repair shop specializing in German cars. A couple of our customers have expressed interest in the RSK04 kit from AWE so I guess I'll be the guinea pig to make sure it plays well with the A6 (it's designed more for the S4 crowd).

sounds just like my car..........guess I better forget about selling it
I was thinking mid-twenty's.
Mine has blacked out chrome, BBS 17" rims, APR stage 1 chip.
Guess I will just drive it till it dies. (force myself to have so much fun) :-)

its in cali so 1,700 miles away from me and i have my financial problems so i'm not looking to buy
a car or trade ...i just need to save and paid my medical bills. Maybe later , there is alot Audis around for good price so i'm not worry ;o)
