18s with 225/40 Goodyear RS-02
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/66311/dscf1513.jpg"></center><p>Finally decided to get those 18s RS4 wheels onto my 2002 A6 1.8T. Its alittle bit bumpier but very quiet on normal road comparable to my original 16s shod with Dunlop SP9000. I loved the look and just low enugh without tempering with new springs. I am consiodering having the lower part of my car sprayed with body colour to make it look more complimentary to the bigger wheels. Have to say that the cornering has improved.

If you're going to get the underside of the car sprayed, I'd also recommend adding the S6 door trim

I did this and it makes a subtl yet very substantial improvement in the 'strength' of the car, especially with wider offest as I have, and it appears you also are using a wider offset.

Not a lot. I had my front bumper sprayed at the same time, the parts I bought used
from someone upgrading an S6 to 'allroad' type trim.
Cheapest of all is finding another 4.2 or S6 car in your color in a recycling yard - then you don't even have to paint and the install takes all of 10 minutes and 8 screws!
For me, there were no volano black cars to get the parts from, so painting was required...
