4.2 Timing Belt - Is replacement a DIY? How difficult?

Locate PaulW on the A8 D2 forum......
Pretty sure he's done it and helped others do it. Yea its an A8 but the engines are the same, so he might have the best advice and suggestions for you. Lot of high miles D2's out there. Make sure you hit the D2 forum not the D3, i don't any one there is gonna need a timing belt for a few years.

I did mine a few months back.
You will need about $200 worth of tools from Zelenda, a good impact gun, and a pretty decent mechanical ability. It took about 12 hours for my first time being careful and having a beer here or there. It can probably be done in six hours.
