93 octane with ethanol added at pump???
I asked this question in a reply on a earlier post but it didn't get reviewed much.
What do you guys think about running 93 with ethanol added into it allready. Here in Iowa I it's sometimes hard to find 92 at pump.

As long as it's no more than 10% ethanol, there shouldn't be any problem...
another option is to add toluene. 1 gallon of toluene added to a tank full of 92 (assuming 18.5 gallons in an A6) gets you 93.2 octane. Two gallons of toluene would get you to 94.4 octane.
My local Sherwin-Williams paint store sells toluene in 1 gallon cans for about $7.
