Sill cover 2000 A6 2.7T
Hi, looking for some advice, the other day while driving in snow near Lake Tahoe I hit a rock quite hard and wrecked the drivers side front wheel. Then while changing the wheel the car slid off the jack, the jack levered around and wrecked the silver (car is silver) cover that covers the entire sill (is that the right term?. The cover has a nice imprint of the jack in it and I suspect the metal underneath is dented.
Can anyone recommend a good place for body parts? How about a dismantler? How about an online parts place for general parts ie plugs?

PS Think this car is cursed, bought it 2 months ago from an Audi dealer with 67K miles, since then :
Ignition control module replaced (car ran very rough), water pump failed, while changing water pump changed other belts, belt tensioner etc. I paid $500, Audi covered the rest. Needed alignment. Front arms were very noisy so these were replaced under warranty. Thank god for the Audi Certified warranty.

The sill covers are $40 each from the dealer...you need to get them painted, though.
Be careful when lifting a car...you can easilly maim or kill someone/something. ALWAYS use jack stands and chocks!!

Thanks for the tip, will call the dealer.
As I was in the middle of nowhere I had little choice but to use the Audi jack - the road was icy and slippery, the front wheel on the road actually slid sideways across the ice - that is the entire car slid around. Very scary for me and the guy about to put the wheel nuts in!
