2.7T Turbo questions.

Gave my 2000 A6 to the dealership two weeks ago today, and picled it up last night. It went in for Rt bank Cat change, which they did under warranty @ 78.5K miles. They also gave me some bad news the day I took it in, saying my turbo was bad, and offered options for making the car well for a cost range of $4K to $6K. I Finally got the car back last night, and must say, Alexandria VA, Audi did me well. They not only replaced the Cat, but they also performed three recalls including replacing a couple lower control arms; all without asking. On top of that, the service writer sincerely apologized for a misdiagnosis on my turbo leak. Turns out it is okay, and I supposedly have a secondary pump leak. For those in the DC area looking for a story with a good ending from the dealership, this is one.

Nice ride. Are you around 350 hp at the wheels? Any suspension mods in the future?

Haven't dyno'd yet...waiting until late Sept for cooler weather...

I'm not going to speculate on the HP until I see what is on the graph! All I can say is...this car is really fast!

Suspension mods probably a next year thing! ;-)

The good news here is that they admitted to not knowing what they are doing.

That somebody is given an initial diagnosis of a bad turbo, and, it is actually an air leak in the secondary air injection system, is beyond comprehension. You call this good service? Then God help you, my friends.
