interior dome replacement

Can anyone tell me how to remove my front and rear dome light housings so I can replace my bulbs. Alsom can anyone tell me where I can find Red interior lights dome like the ones above

I think Audizone ...I mean Autozone has the bulbs

and I think your manual should have how you replace the bulbes.

get a 2" plastic putty knife to remove the clear plastic covering the front dome lights...very easy.

I think some have used red film on the inside of the plastic cover...

like what "midori2.7T" did to her A6. (So sad she left us to go to the E-class).

Anyway, here is a pic of her mod...

Strange thing to do but you can buy coloured bulbs....

Have never removed the front. But the rear just pulls out.

The rear dome housing is held in place by metal clips. Very easy to remove and replace bulbs.

thanks, i did it last night, 4 bucks for the main front and black ones, I really like it, my friend said it looked like rics, but hes just mad that he gas a jetta and i bought an a6. I think im gonna do them for most the lights (like the courtesy ones when you open any door) just because they go really good with the rest of the car. The manual doesnt show you how to do it, but thanks for the responses, they pop off with a fingernail real easy.
