Good body shops in DC/MD/VA?
Just called HBL's body shop Tyson's Collison but was on hold for over five mins. Don't want to go to a place where I will be put on hold and ignored if I have a problem with the work. I like BMW of Fairfax's work but they take their sweet time and keep the car for too long. Looking for: no orange peel, no dust in the clear coat and nice color match. It's just for a driver's side fender.

basically, a great paint job has a mirror finish to it, Not jsut the clearcoat, but the base paint color smooth. A rushed paint job will show evidence of the dimples/orange peel.

The orange peel is pretty normal, the difference between a good paint job and a lousy one...
is the amount of sanding you do to get rid of imperfections after you paint. Also, orange peel tends to come when you have too much product in your mix from the gun. It can easily be wet sanded down, and buffed though. You might be surprised how much you can sand fresh clearcoat, and buff it to a mirror finish. When I did my bumpers, I had a couple of big runs, which I sanded down smooth, and buffed completely out.
