Won't they be too far inward? ET45 offset vs stock ET35 offset?

Depends on the overall width of the wheel.. offset is relative to overall width AFAIK...

I think OEM S6 is 17x8" ET35 and S4 (B5) is 17x7.5" ET45

so a slightly narrower wheel, with a further inward offset = wheel flares that look like they stick out further relative to the outer face of the wheel.

Yeah, I have them B5 S4, but on an S6, I think it would look funnny.
