I need help!!! Will these rims fit my 99 2.8 A6?

I need help, I want to get a 9 spoke rs6 style replicas wheels, will they fit my 99 2.8 a6? the dealer says the specs are 18x8.0, +45mm offset, he claims that they will fit any a6 non-turbo or v8 from 1995 to 2004, is this true? will I have any problems after install? does it has any effect like vibration or poor handling? will they damage my suspension? sorry about all this questions, but I used to have a 1995 neon, and I just trashed the car by putting 17 inch wheels, I really dont want to happen this to my audi. IMO, there's a good chance they'll rub on the upper control arm if you run at least 235 width tires.

8" wide and ET45 is cutting it really close. Plus, frankly, those look really cheap. Look for ET35 and go with a reputable vendor if you're buying replicas. Check out Hartmann/Achtuning, or even AAA Wheels to start. Search and you'll find a lot of experiences of others with the different vendors.
