EDGE RACING/FLIK WHEELS
I went to Edge Racing's web site to order (2) new wheels. The status says, "N/A". So I call and find out the wheels have been discontinued. WHAT??? Now what I am supposed to do? I ask to speak to a manager, but get forwarded to his voicemail. After leaving 5 messages over the past 2 weeks, along with over 10 emails, I get a call back today. Great customer service!
Well, after speaking the manager, Alex, he tells me they have (3) wheels left. Great, how much? $200/each. I tell him my situation and goes into a Economics 101 speech with me (Supply vs. Demand). Hilarious.
I tell him that I would've never bought the wheels if I had known they were being discontinued. He said, "they're not discontinued yet because we have 3 left." What an idiot.
Also, the day after I received my wheels, the price drops to $89/wheel. So I call and speak to the best customer service department in the country. They tell me that they'll credit my Visa $40 for the adjustment. Great! Not really, because it never happened. And Alex says they have no record of it. Funny because I called twice and emailed 3 times with the request.
I promised him I was going to post my experience with this company on every forum I belong to. So, here it is!
If you have 8 x 18 (5x112) Flik Justice wheels in Black, you will not be able to get a replacement wheel for much longer...plus, get ready to spend $200 a wheel.
How they treated you after was not the best. and even if they were to charge more, they could have couched it better.
What did you expect to happen?
If you want the real stuff with long production runs and deep availability...edge/flik is not the choice. I'm cracking up that my 4 wheels all left the Edge dock last week at the same time and place but they are arriving on different days...they use DHL (bleah!).
