I got a couple of negative comments about my car...
the other day from my sister's friend from church. She drives the new A4 3.2 and her hubby owns a TT.
Anyway, my sister's friend (can't remember her name) looked at my car inside and out and gave me a little verbal thrashing about not having Audi-brand floor mats (all-weather) or Audi-brand sun shade (for the windshield). She didn't do it in a mean way, but was teasing me that I wasn't a "true" Audi owner 'til I bought those two items.
Ha! If I wanted to, I could've mentioned all the $$$$ I spent and pointed out the wheels, suspension, seats, exhaust, etc. and that I DID improve on the car as well as mention all the Audi GTGs I attend, too, where I get a lot of compliments. But she was too blind to notice what mods I've done to it. So, I just smiled and said "okay, I'll look into buying those things" and left it at that.
She's lucky she was my sister's friend from church, so I didn't say anything. But if a stranger on the street told me that, I'd put them in their place by telling them that a "true" Audi owner knows more about cars than just floor mats and sun shades w/ an Audi logo on it.
Just thought I'd share that little experience.
