Call Shokan, Dad's, and some local tuners. Check classifieds too. You need an "H" box.

I'm getting a used one from 2Bennett in davis for 525.00. It comes with a 3 month warranty

Dad's and its affiliates didn't have any.

Best of luck. Really. But frankly I'm betting a new ECU isn't going to do it.

Sorry, but the chain of events don't line up, and it seems like you've been getting almost random explanations.

I hope I'm wrong, because at least the problem will be solved. Please keep us informed.

About 3 years ago I purchased a used ECU from Dad;s (I think it was) recyclers for $150-->

I think it was Dad's, I know that I found them in the AW links.
Bottom line, I paid $150 for it, and it was already GIAC chipped (which was what I wanted it for in the first place).
I paid another $50 and had it upgraded to the X.

Search the AW links, you can find them used there for much less than $500
