Default VAG-COM and KKL interface no talky to TT

trying one of those Ebay special KKL cables with the Ross-Tech software..won't talk to the 2001 TT 225 quattro ..tried all addresses and nothing.

Besides, the cable wants to fall out of the TT's OBD connector...are the official Ross-Tech cables really better?

Default I think you answered your own question...

Your cable sounds like a POS. Besides, the Ross Tech software is coded to the cable. Generic cables won't work with the RT software.

Default night and day.

you got what you paid for. And to use Ross Tech software when you didn't pay for access to it is not nice.

Default Unfair damnation, Paul. Ross-Tech fully allows shareware use.

I agree that if you buy a no-name cable you take your chances, especially if you expect it to work with dual K-lines. But some have used them successfully.

I have a genuine R-T, but it's not for everyone.

FYI you must try and use shareware VAG-COM software with your car before you buy it and register it. It only supplies you with a registration number when you succesfully access your car with it (using ANY cable).
SO there, smarytsmart.
