Less than 4k miles on my Gianelle 19's by Giovanna..RUINED

To all who love the set back look.. i bought these black double spoke 5 stars, set 2 1/4 inches back with a polished aluminum lip. They look amazing, and drove that way for about a month. no big potholes, no curb damage, just less than average use..(i dont even drive to work).. and they are ruined. The lip area is so weak since no spokes or points of strength touch it, that the slightest bump will disfigure them..thus, throwing a nasty vibration that is irrepairable. One was particularly damaged so i took it to a wheel repair expert by the lowes motor speedway. He straightend it out (for 100 beans) to the point where it could be fairly balanced, but visibly wobbles on the road force balancing machine. The others showed the same wobble, just not as pronounced. I expect the place i bought them to do nothing for me as they dont seem to care about earning repeat business. And ill be greatly surprised if Giovanna has anything to say...ill call them tomorrow. With the balancing i had done today.. its okay up to 60, and when the tires heat up and spread out (over 78 or so) but that common traveling speed range feels horrible. I guess we all have to learn some things the hard way, i just wanted to share it with all who are contemplating wheels b/c the look is enticing but go for strength, it will save you much angst in the long run. Its been one expensive bummer.
