Gas Mileage Question
Hey guys, im from the 5000 forum, been driving my car for almost 4 years now. My friends are all getting new cars and i thought i wanted an A4, test drove some ect. but i drove an A6 the other day with the tiptronic V6 combo, and i have to say the size of the car, and the comfort and ride is much better imo. so i know Audi says they get like 17/26 MPG, but it says my car gets 18/22 and that is way off i get like 25/30. so what do you guys get for gas mileage out of the v6?

Not sure if this helps, but I have a euro 2.4 V6 with multitronic CVT tip and I get 33mpg (UK gallon) if I try and 31mpg if I dont.
Even around town I get around 30MPG - And that's on a car that's done 98k miles
- This is all from the trip computer so may not be 100% accurate but I do get almost 500 miles from a tank of fuel.
My 02 Nissan Primera diesel only managed to get 36mpg and here in the UK diesel costs more than petrol so I'm very happy with the consumption I'm getting.
I tend to flick the cruise control on whenever I can and let the car alter the gears - Certainly seems to help.

And with the 2.7T im guessing you dont drive in fuel saving mode lol
I drove the 2.8, it was nice because im so used to the slowest car on earth. But i think im going to go with the 2.7t... i think its a must.

2000 2.7t/6spd-21mpg. I had an '85 5kS and a '87 5kCS, the A6 is very similar in size/handling. :)
And of course, gas mileage depends on your driving style and city/street ratio. My 2.7t gets an average of 21 when I drive conservatively (but not totally milking it) through about 40% city 60% highway cruising. HTH.
