Speaking of creaking noises ... help

I'm getting a combination creaking/clunking noise from the driver's side front wheel area whenver I go over a large dip or swell, but not a sharp bump. Sounds like it is happening on the initial upstroke. Sometimes it's a creaking noise, sometimes it sounds like marbles in the wheel well. Dealer has it on the lift right now ... control arms are fine, bushings are good, sway bars look good, can't find a problem. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT IS COLD, and since today is in the 70s, they can't duplicate the problem. Any thoughts?

What about the big plastic belly pan? Is it secured in all the spots?

That was causing me a similar sound.

They tell me it was the sway bar bushings ...

when they addressed this problem the last time, they lubed them. When the lube dried up (I hate it when that happens) the creaking came back. With the warm weather, the rubber is more compliant and that's why it's not as noticeable. New bushings on order, to be put in next week. Being the mechanical nimrod that I am, this sounds logical, but could be a load of b.s.
