AAARGH!!! I hooked my bumper on a low curb!!! <edited with more pics of the carnage!>
Here is a pic I just took of the damage...

At least the damage is limited to the bottome of the front bumper, and there is no damage to the belly pan or the front fenders (as I have seen in the past making this same mistake). The killer here is that the curb was low, and my car is NOT lowered. I think it was a combination of the slope/crown of the road vs. the slightly elevated curb cut. Regardless, looks like I am replacing it as soon as I can source the part and get it painted.
No, I am NOT doing the RS6 front bumper....way too many other parts that require replacing, and since this repair will be on my own dime, I am not going to spend over $1500 in parts when I can spend about 1/3 and just replace the existing bumper cover. The real bummer is having to pay again for the clearbra as well
((Oh well...sad day...

Okay, so I just went out again after seeing this pic above...not sure what that material was in the lower grille, and THERE IS A LARGE SLAB OF ASPHALT STUCK IN THERE!!! It is almost as if the bumper acted as a cheese grater and sliced of a nice slab of asphalt for me to swallow! I removed the grilles and decided that I have to remove the lower belly-pan to get the slab out. DAMN DAMN DOUBLE-DAMN!!!

Well like you said at least it is only cosmetic damage and no mechanical problems.
I vote that you save that piece of asphalt and we conduct a ceremonial execution at some point - large hammer sounds good.
I guess you'll be making more trips to see "your friend".
