When I made my political post I never thought I would receive a response like I have over the last couple of days. In fact, I thought it would be an even harsher reaction than I received from my pics post, and that is why I never even bothered to read the replies... I actually had many privately emailed responses to my account that encouraged me to view the BBS posted replies which I just did this morning. I must say I had the forum pegged wrong and for that, I apologise for my seemingly brazen post.

I admit I was frustrated that I was "gettin no respect" while other members with many of the same mods seemed to do no wrong. See I have a tendency to be hot-headed when it comes to two things in life: car mods and my home renos. Maybe it's the fact that they are personal tastes and I feel attacked personnaly when people have differing artistic views, and choose to share them so flippantly and contemptuously. My GF has become used to it, and I assume you all are now as well

But psycho-analysis aside, I agree it would be foolish and immature to just walk away from a place which has inspired me to take my Audi further than I would have without your helpful posts over the years. And it would be taking the few nay-sayers too seriously which would also be foolish for an online forum environment.

So with that in mind I ask you all if I can be accepted back here (summer chrome rims and all and now sans chrome grill strips) once again. I have some suspension and lighting mods coming up in a month and I would love to do an unveiling here when the car is finally done.

I know this has been way too dramatic a post but cummon, you've got to admit I have provided some lively entertainment for an otherwise drab forum :>

the more input and viewpoints, the better this forum gets! I've had MY share of bling comments (my "mellon shooter exhaust" on my previous car!), so I understand how it feels to be on the receiving end of criticism.
