2.8 cam chain tensioner gasket question

2.8 cam chain tensioner gasket question

I just pulled the valve covers, etc off the passenger side, I have the tool and all that, so ready to go... however, what is the long black hose that is just at the top of the engine bank, just under the fuel rail? it says >CM< and is attached to the top of the valve cover with a 10 mm bolt. Near the passenger compartment it runs over part of the cam adjuster. How to disconnect?

if it helps --

the part thats over the cam tensioner is a hard line. it runs right over the top of the 1st of 3 bolts

help....

Break the line (as you did with the fuel rail) and then follow the hard line down...

...and unbolt the 10mm that holds it

BTDT. I know. Bentley tells you to remove the EGR stuff behind the head.

But they do not mention the PS line, IIRC.
I tweaked mine up a bit (looks like you already did) and worked around it.

I take it thats all the stuff behind the top of the intake mainfolds? So, unplug / undo all that stuff and then I will be able to disconnect the powersteering?

Am I in over my head? Yes. Did u AW guys tell me, a noob, to not do it myself? Yes.
