Are aftermarket suspension components likely to affect my CPO warranty on other covered parts?
Specifically, I need shocks and figure I will take the opportunity to lower my non-sport suspension. I think that I will end up with Bilstein shocks and either Eibach or Vogtland springs. What I'm worried about is how the dealer will view these modifications if I need work on warrantied parts like control arms, etc. Any experience or opinions here? Would I be better off buying OEM sport suspension components? Thanks all!

THere was a guy on the B6 forum that had a big fight over warranty coverage for real differential...
he was stock non-sport, lowered with aftermarket components. Audi claimed that there were two different drive shafts for sport and non-sport (confirmed via ETKA) and that the lowered suspension brought extra pressure on the reaf differential becuase the drive-shaft was not the "shorter" one that comes with the sport package.
After seeing the potential $4500 bill, the owner turned to AW for help, and with a LOT of research, got Audi to agree to split the cost of the repairs, and also removed some of the extra costs from the repair...in the end maybe $1500 out of pocket, which is WAY better than $4500.
Seeing this, and knowing that Audi tries to fight many things, it is just one of those risks you run when you alter the vehicle. That being said, just know that MANY of us AWers have lowered vehicles with no similar issues, but you never know...
