A modding kind of weekend..even did some myself! 605 servotronic update..
A year ago when I bought the car I pulled the 605 servotronic relay to get a better feel from the steering wheel. Well, as any of you know who have done this, parking can be quite a chore when you are trying to move 255/40/17 rubber with not a lot of help. The steering effort is heavy enough that the Mrs wants no part of the A6. Seeing as we are doing a major road trip in June I decided to tackle modifying the 605 relay to be able to switch the power assist on and off.
There is a very good DIY on this site for the mod and I wanted to add a couple of thoughts that made it easier. When you have to find and access the black power wire behind the 605 relay, it makes your life a lot easier if you find the 10mm nuts that hold the brackets that house all the relays under there, and remove the nuts and move the relay brackets. Once you locate the back of the 605 relay, I had to remove some black cloth tape that was wrapped around the wire bundle. Take a NEW razor blade and be EXTREMELY careful slicing the black cloth tape away. Once I located the black wire I affixed two wire taps to it with a small space inbetween, and then snipped the black wire between the two wire taps. I used an old micro switch that I had laying around and ran the wires from the switch to the two wire taps. Ground the micro switch and Viola!!!! Start the car (I LIKE the rs6 muffler rumble!!) and test the switch...IT WORKS!!!!! This means she can drive during the road trip..YES!!!!
And just to complete the mod day/weekend...installed the Hella smoke rear lenses I got this weekend (Special thanks to Murph for procuring them AND driving down to Woburn on Saturday. All you audio freaks have GOT to hear his upgraded system...it is SERIOUS).
I have no idea how to post pictures..sorry.
If anyone has any questions about the servotronic mod please feel free to contact me. More than willing to share the experience.

Now go to the test forum and try it out

PS. Thanks for the compliments on the Audio System. I think I've proven that the Bose system is very upgradeable with the right transducers and hidden EQ tweaks.
