Cyl 3 misfire???

Just had a cel come on and scanner says cyl 3 misfire. I just replaced the spark plugs 1k ago and when I swapped plug wires I get the same scan codes. Does this mean the coil pack is shot or am I looking for something else??

Try swapping plugs first.

6 cyl coil pack failure is rare

I would look at spark plug wires. Swap spark plug wires around and see if the misfire moves. Is it a steady misfire or sporadic? You might try misting the spark plug wires with a water spray bottle and note any arcing.

My 2.7 at the DLR for 25+ days for cyl 3 & 5 misfiring...

Keep an eye on the AR forum to see what the DLR finds. The car has already had the ecu replaced.

Swapped the plugs and it cleared and ran well for one day and now the cel has the same cyl 3 misfire code, am also getting a P1227 fuel air metering but i am assuming thats from the misfire. I have it scheduled on Thursday for a complete engine diagnostic at a credible local shop so I guess I'll see?
