Rattling noise from engine on cold startup..lasts for 1-2 secs..I searched

Default Rattling noise from engine on cold startup..lasts for 1-2 secs..I searched
and found a rattling sound thread while idling..
Mine is more like a startup rattle, sounds like valves hitting something..very strange and hard to explain..
lasts for about a sec before engine goes smooth/normal..
Anyone else experience this before?

Default same here mine's making some weird rattling noise as well taking it into the dealer this weekend, bu
t mine is pretty consistent.

Mine disappears within a sec or 2..my car sat for 7 months..in Boston..Dont knwo if that matters

Default Searched some more and found this is "normal" IF it lasts for 1 sec or less
and several posts suggested using heavier oil, etc 5-40 instead of 0-40
