Default if a "liquid" flows down the upper center vent (above the radio). can the liquid reach a circuit boa

or something that would affect the tachometer (intermittent) and warning lights for check engine oil (also intermittent) ... I find it hard to believe it could.....prior to spilling the "liquid" (coffee)...I did have a brake pad warning light flashing, however my front pads are fine.

I did try cleaning the cluster connectors per Boston, but no luck.

any suggestions.....could I have a bad ECU? thanks everyone.

Default If the pad wear circuit is closed, oil is good, and tach has a good signal (verify w/ Vag-Com)...

...then it sounds like your cluster may have a problem(?)

Are any codes stored in the cluster, engine, etc. controllers? Worst case, you may have a problem with the harness...although I'd say the cluster is the most likely culprit. Maybe find a used one to swap in(?) Good luck with it!

Default I've done this, only problem it caused was the tea pouring out of the foot vents!

Should be fine.
