Those with quattro... When we get our cars inspected, how do they do the emissions test?

I just had this done and Pete is right. The just idle and rev to 2500 RPM. Its not as accurate but
satisfies the state requirement. I think the emmissions with this test are actually lower then they would be because no load is being placed on the engine.

On another note, what's a reputable body shop near us? I have some scuffs on my rear bumper I want to take care of.

In NJ - they just do a tailpipe test, I told the guy it was 4wd, and that basically exempted it ...
From the dyno. I was kind of surprised considering the stink that has been made with our new epa level II state inspection.

Yeah I'm actually glad to hear that...
I had this vision of my rear wheels spinning wildly in the air, with engine RPMs over 3500, under no load conditions... made me cringe.
