Got my X-Chip
Went to AWE's new shop this week to get my GIAC chip upgraded to an X-chip.
A few blocks after leaving, one factor became evidently clear... This chip can land you in jail!!!
When I nailed the throttle merging onto the PA Tpk, the surge of boost to 20psi, and the rush almost instantly to 90mph was a little frightening!
It is way stronger off the line than my previous Giac programming, but at the top is where the chip shines. Doing 65 on the highway, a quick stab on the throttle gets you to 80MPH and climbin in seconds (I'll have to count!)
If you have a 2001MY, I highly reccomend this chip.
It pulls a little harder up to 3k RPM, so for the daily driving the chip is very civil and kind to your oil temps. After several romps on the highway, the oil temp easily gets to 225.
Now to go an find a WRX to victimize!

Boost guage yes, AIM no (not allowed at work!)
I have the Omori guage from AWE... now with a little added buzz from the X.
I'm shopping for Samco hoses now! Just to be safe.
