ignition's stuck
when i turn my key to start my 98 a4, the key gets stuck in the starter position unless i turn it back. if i don't then the clutch makes this terrible sound if you push it in. two questions: 1. can i fix it myself or do i have to send it in? 2. does this really damage the clutch or whatever's making that god awful noise?

Your car is an early 98 right? (manufactured in 1997)
There was a recall on the ignition switch - I need to get mine fixed too, I'm so used to it it doesnt phase me but A valet didnt know, put my car in park and the starter spun and he jumped out of the car, and ran... Didnt wait for a tip or anything.
