Default Hey need quick advice on applying blitz wax

I"m going to use Blitz for the first time today. In the past i've only used liquid waxes and this Blitz stuff is paste. I opened the can and it seems pretty tough and solid. Any tips to applying it? How to soften it?

thanks

Default some use their fingers....

put some on, let your body heat melt it then apply in straight lines.

i got a wax applicator, works just as well, i BELIEVE it was a turtle wax applicator. it works really well.

either way, dont apply it in circles, put it on in straight lines from the front to back of the car, like from the front of the hood twoards the window. it helps minimize swirl marks.

try here

Default Like HS said, high carnuba waxes are solid and will heat with body heat...

what i do is place fingers against the wax paste and rub back and forth till it liquifies a bit, then apply by hand to the body.

Cheers,
Sameer

Default it took me a few hours doing it with my fingers..

and i just dont have the time anymore. thats why i use the applicator, the only problem with it is that if it has dirt on it, it could scratch the paint right? i always use a new one so it doesnt really matter and i work from top to bottom

Default You don't even need to do that.

The friction of rubbing the applicator over the wax will melt a thin layer of wax, which will transfer to the applicator. Don't worry about it, just rub the applicator in the wax tin, and apply to the paint. It's easy! This business about waxing with your hand...well, it takes FOREVER, and it will not yield better results. It only gives you the personal satisfaction of having caresses your beauty all afternoon.

Default Here's a tip for that little problem...

Keep the applicator pad damp (with water). I usually keep a spray bottle handy, and spray the pad with water before I drop the pad in the wax to load up with some fresh wax. The water helps distribute the wax thinly and evenly over the paint. This reduces the amount of wax residue that you will have to buff off later. It also reduces the amount of wax dust that will fly around while you're waxing.
