First kill with chip! I didn't think I could beat an IS300.
It was pretty uneventful as far as races go. I pulled up next to this lowered IS with the huge exhaust. There was a few metal plates on the road ahead so we just took it easy until we crossed them at the same time. Then the race was on. I heard him gun it and move though the gears. It was a manual 5sp. I don't know if he knew how to drive but he never had a chance. I pulled away with no problem. The funny part was when he caught up to me and held back to look at the engine plate on the trunk his buddy began to laugh. The driver was pretty pissed and didn't look at me afterwards.

Sigh..I hate stupid punks like him..
they get pissed when they lose..
If I lose to somebody I don't think I should have
I will give them a thumbs up or flash the hazards
And if I get a chance try to talk to them about what they have done..

My brother has an IS300 - Automatic though - he can take me in my 2.8 but not by much....
We were both surprised by the result - Both automatics - and several 0-100 runs only produced maybe a car length edge to the IS300. We swapped cars and did it again, and the results were similar.
I was expecting much more of a gap. The IS300 feels much faster than my car. It has more torque down low, and throws you back. Plus it feels alot harsher in its delivery of power.
Maybe it's just a testament to how smooth the 2.8 is in it's power delivery. Now I Think the ultimate sleeper would be a PES G2 2.8.
That would suprise the hell out of most anything out there.
Actually what I'm really waiting for is an adaptation to the new 3.0Q. That is the setup I will be running in my next car. - Which I have already determined will be the 3.0Q.
