Anybody on the forum carry?

Just curious to know if anybody on the forum has a valid CCW permit and carries a licensed firearm.

I've got a CZ 75B Compact, which is a smaller firearm, but cumbersome for the glove box. This wasn't a problem when I used to drive trucks.

I don't carry the majority of the time for safety reasons, but every now and then I'll be in an area I'm not overly comfortable with. There's a large telecommunications building in Atlanta that my company has equipment colocated in... every now and then I'm responsible for it, and when I feel I have a valid reason to carry, I'm having problems finding a safe place to store the firearm. Anybody have any suggestions? Obviously not visible from the outside, preferably not visible to other passengers in the car.

I hate having to empty out my glove box every time I feel the need...

I was going to while I was in Alaska - get a nice compact glock .40 - but when I moved to Seattle I decided not to. It's a serious hassle to test for one around here and on top of that, even if I got one I couldn't take a weapon into the dorms, I couldn't take it to school and I couldn't take it to work and that was 99% of my life. I sure as hell wasn't going to leave it in my car in case it was stolen or broken in to so i just started carrying a nice Benchmade fast deploy shank on my belt. I haven't given much thought to it again since I graduated...

I keep mine in the center console (tho it wouldn't fit in my audi, now that i think about it...been along time since i packed) unloaded w/ clip next to it.
Under the seat works well if you have a holster that can click on well.

I hear ya, it sucks.. I wanted to get a gun permit and an aviation license...

Then 9/11 happened.. and well.. why even bother.. My name doesn't sound middle eastern to me, but it's gonna sound pretty goddamn wierd to them, and I'm brown. I can imagine everybody in the room staring me down...
