Custom boost gauge pods....

Anyone make a custom boost gauge pod for the A6? If so, post up pictures. I'm currently researching different options. AWE Tuning sells a really nice gauge that matches the dash lights...it's on sale too! So, the gauge is no problem. The problem lies in the install location. I thought about building a custom A-pillar pod similar to 42DD, but the fabric is hard to match and I'm not sure where the airbag is located relative to the gauge location (low as possible). The only other options are:
1. steering wheel column mount
2. somewhere in or on the dash
3. overhead (i.e. in the headliner)

Comments, suggestions, etc.

Nice. I thought about digital but I prefer the mechanical approach due to simplicity. I also like watching the needle. I'm easily amused.

What was the one from the MkIV(?) VW that fits the A6?...someone here bought one awhile back.

I agree 100 % I couldn't find anything that was as clean as the AWE for the S4

I needed a boost gauge and this was the most neutral I could find. As you stated I don't want mismatched fabrics or hacked holes or vents. as ours only has two in the center I didn't want to loose one. I'd love to see what you come up with. Gdod luck

I'm suprised that no one offers an A-pillar setup for our cars.

There are enough modded 2.7's running around to make it profitable.

There is one made for our cars. Our A pillar is one long piece from back of drivers door to dash

it would be a lot of fabric to replace and probably mismatch. The S4 has it in 2 pieces and the needed one runs the width of the windshield only. I actually was looking for a small dial type to fit in the dash where I put my digital one but no luck. I wasn't psyched about cutting the dash either. I can always remove the one I have and replace the trim piece over the column. I wanted mine for concerns of future boost leaks with the stage III.
