Are Audi dealers able to give you service history on car serviced at a different Audi facility?

Default Are Audi dealers able to give you service history on car serviced at a different Audi facility?
Basically service history of a vehicle using the VIN? Or are Audi dealers not linked?

If they are linked. . .would most dealers do it? Any cost?

Default Dealers are linked. Under no obligation to share with other customers or potential customers.
Basically you need to work your way into the good graces of a service advisor or manager for them to give you info. It is normal for them to black out the previous owner info.

My local dealer gave it to me over the phone last month despite that I bought my CPO elsewhere.

Default My dealer pretends that they can't get any info for things that are done outside their shop.
They lie. I don't like them.

Default I was fortunate to have a fellow AWer obtain the service history from a local dealer to him...
...but the history is codes only, so you either ahve to know what the codes mean, or have someone interpret the codes for you.

Default Able to? yes. Want to? Maybe yes, maybe no. I was fortunate to have dealer cooperation
from Walter's to give me history on my 4.2 from day 1, originally came from Rusnak, then owner moved and wound up at Walter's.
