Drove an 07 3.2 Quattro today....bleh.
I needed to rent a car today to bring to the airport tomorrow (only a masochist leaves their ride in long-term parking at Newark airport) so I grabbed the only A6 sitting in the Hertz lot near my house. Egads, the 3.2 is a real dog compared to my old 2.7T + GIAC fixins. In terms of comfort and gadgetry, it was what I expected...very plush, very quiet and lots of ***** and buttons. It took me a couple of minutes of head scratching to figure out that there is no emergency brake pedal/handle. It's been replaced by a little switch that looks like a power window switch. And then I couldn't figure out how to insert a CD. I saw the inviting CD button, but no slot. So I just pressed the button and the glovebox automatically opened and there sat the CD changer carousel. hehe...
I give it an 8 for comfort/luxury and a 4 for performance.

Yeah, I revved the crapola out of it. A car that heavy really needs north of 300hp and more torque.
I don't know how people get by with the 1.8T or 2.0T in these cars.
It's probably a sweet ride with a 4.2L.
