Eye Candy #2 (txt edited)
On to the trunk trim now. Plastic Rear Trunk Chrome Trim definitely does not take well to "chrome polish" as much as you want it to be REAL chrome... =(
thanks to Carson @ riverside Audi, i got the piece quickly and at 10% + of dealer pricing. MUCH better than *cough* Brookline VW/Audi in Boston. I now have the replacement trim and it helps to add some spruced up looks to her already juicy rear end
i feel like everyone is doing a "blackout" theme, well chrome is the only thing that will match racing green correctly, so do it right! fwiw =)
instructions? see the DIY posted on this a long time ago that i used as a guide myself. highly urge you to apply painters tape to protect your paintjob first. now jam a screwdriver in between the trim and the bonding tape and rotate screwdriver using head to separate...get a good grasp. and YANK! use heat gun or goo gone to remove excess 'sticky gunk' for good curing surface for new trim. make sure new trim aligns with pegs, and press hard. done

I still go through my 'dealership' for some services since i know that they are good people too and many of them hard working individuals. And that they perform good service as much as possible.
It's simply the 'turn of phrase' expression that i use to refer to the owner's franchise that governs the dealership in general. Turning a profit is great, but its the same as a local shop all of the sudden selling a poncho for 5$ more when it starts to pour outside. unnecessary, and we say:
"what? 5$ more? you got ripped off"
Carson tries to help the AWcommunity by sticking his foot in the door and helping us out with a better price than retail; but still turning profit by making more quantity of part sales for riverside, and boosting sales goals and achievements for himself that make his managers smile when they see him. Sry carson btw (for indirectly involving u, lol)
didn't want to, but i felt i had to justify my "wording" and re-type the post sorry if offended
