Going to the Audi dealer today for the wiring harness recall!
Porvided it doesn't burn up in the way, I'm hopeing there's no problem on the way. I have been a bit worried about continuing to drive the car since the post about the dash burning last week.
That post made me realize that I really really needed to get that recall work done. I put it off due to some surgery I had to have in late spring. Didn't get the notice for recall until 25 March. Then I forgot about it during the rehab period....
Service manager said there'd be "No Charges" when I asked him about that.... hope he keeps his word. He'll probally tell me about my very small oil leak out from under R valve cover, if they're sharp.
I'm going to pick it up tomorrow, after work. Or so they said I could.

Update: pleasantly suprized yesterday at Audi service dept.
Got to the service dept @ 1700, prepared to leave the car and pick up tomorrow. Service manager seemed like a nice guy, and said if I had an hour, they would get to it right then!
I'm thinking, "Wow, this is good...."
Had the car back by 1815, washed and vacumned as well! No problems, got to pick the brains of both the service manage and the mechanic for a bit. It's nice to have that needed recall handled.
Turns out that the service manager is/was [not sure if he still is] on the RS8 race team. He showed me some photos of the pit crew -with him in uniform like the rest of them with his hands dirty. He seemed like a real person, unafraid to be sincere, looked you in the eye, etc....
"Course, they gave me a list of needed repairs as well. Something to think about since I like to DIY as much as I can....
