Suspension HELP: too harsh.
Koni's shocks @ medium
HSports on firm
H&R springs
235/45/17 - pie plates @ 36 psi
Zimmerman slotted; Aekbono ceramic F - Hawk R
Too many jarring whole-car "bangs" at highway speed when going over ridges, asphalt buckles, etc. Also, PA back roads are just abuse now and rarely enjoyable. LOVE THE RIDE on newly paved roads, but thats unrealistic here in PA. The original luxury package was total ****. I'm glad for the performance gains, but need to bring it back a notch to find (my version)of a great ride. Shoulda gone coilovers >

Given my set up; which componenet(s) is most
responsible for the unforgiving ride? I just don't know what to adjust? Swap for OEM sport springs and keep the rest as is? Or, set the Koni's & Sports to softer settings?
Glad for any thoughts on this.
Did you cut them when this suspension was installed?
The problem with some lowering springs is the reduction of travel, many coilovers design the dampers to accomodate this by adjusting the working range.
You could try setting the Konis to soft, but that will just allow it to bounce up a little more, which will make the ride on wavy roads feel better, but won't stop the slamming when they are compressed as you describe.
I'd say the solution is to put on Factory sport springs with the Konis, you'll have more travel and be able to soak up the harsh bumps.
You should still use either sport bump stops, or trimmed non-sport ones.
Softer tire pressures will help a little, but I still suspect you're slamming on the bumpstops.
I had that problem on a BMW with H&R/bilstein setup.
