glass company must not have installed my windshield right

Because I can't get the cowl to fit into the groove and clip at the same time. The passenger side of the rubber that is glued? onto the windshield, and has the groove for the cowl isn't snug against the windshield, and when the cowl is down, it forces it away from its clipping point.

I'm not sure what to do now. I've never done a windshield before, and quite frankly I'd rather do an engine swap vs a window install.

Could I use a heat gun, and try to press it up to the right position with a putty knife? Or should I leave this for the pros?

I'm thinking of trying to get the glass company to pay for me to bring it to a dealer, since they messed it up.

Take a pic first. Then tell them that they need to redo it.

In most cases they will need to install a new windshield to fix this issue - don't setlle for some

half-assed fix that will end up causing you more problems down the road. And if they have to take this one out, tell them you want a new one in - never settle for reinstalling the one they removed. It may save $ for the company but you'll come out on the short end of that. BTDT, don't learn the hard way!
