stupid spark plugs
a lil less turbo lag...and better mileage for 12$ okay!
but we are using NGK BKR7E's in the car now...
(copper)
does anyone know how long i can go on these max? according to and in real life recommended mileage
stfa yields like.... 2 months/5000-7500 miles
and moreover...what are those ones that have are made of, erm platinum but have a copper core alternative properties rated at 50K miles and 20$ a plug? absolutely hated the "closest" coilpack to the headlights on each side...(almost seated behind the Y pipe) oh and the "wire hanger" clip to the airbox too...grr

"Now many would ask "Why use Copper when they don't last over 5k???" Well first of all, before my explanation, simply switching from platinums to standard coppers will lower your EGT temps anywhere from 30-40C Degrees!...read on:"
"Comment: The plugs heat range and the thermal conductivity of the plug center electrode will determine the operating temp of the spark plug only. The spark plug's ability to influence EGTs is at best, secondary to the single ground on the copper plug igniting a larger flame front initially, resulting in combustion of the end gas fraction occurring earlier in crank angle degrees before the exhaust valve opens.
Multiple ground electrode plugs are not the best choice for a performance application primarily due to the additional grounds shielding the spark from as much ignitable fuel/air mixture as possible. In addition, some combustion chamber shapes can be sensitive to the angular position of just one ground 'trode. (and that sensitivity can vary with cylinder pressure and air/fuel mixture turbulence)
That is why "plug indexing" is used in many drag and track competition engines."
