power steering problem

Hi, Have a whine in the power steering. Got some fluid from Audi and brought the level up to where it should be. The whine is still there! Tried bleeding the air by turning the wheel back and forth, but no luck, still air coming up in the reservoir. Any ideas on getting it out? and then if that does not do it what does it take to change the pump? Ken

Ken, If air in the reservoir, clean the reservoir's filter screen and check the reservoir...

to pump supply hose for leaks. Should be absolutely dry.

Try filling above the MAX line.

I had a similair problem and added the fluid to MAX line in reservoir and still had the problem. I then added some more fluid near to the top and the problem was gone.
