Catalytic converter trouble code...
The dealership tells me AoA tells them to reset the code and that they'll replace the cat if the same trouble code shows-up again before 80,000 miles. Trouble is, I'm at 77,000 now.
I saw an earlier post about a warranty extension for the 4.2L's cats, but not for the 3.0's.
Do these cars just have poorly-designed catalytic converters?

The same guy owns both Audi dealerships here...
...so I don't expect to have a different experience at the other one.
Further, I asked if there was any wiggle room in the milage. The service agent said "no, at 80,001 miles you're out of luck."

Light went on again two days later...
They replaced one of the cats and said the other was operating within the allowed tolerances (which I'm guessing means it too will fail in the next year and I'll be footing the bill!)
Oh well, at least I got one done on AoA
