Starter repair question again for larger audience
Does anyone know if the grounding wire that runs between the starter and the starter solenoid can be replaced? Mine has corroded to the point where there is no connection and the starter will not crank unless I jam a screwdriver between what's left of it to make the ground.

I think I see what your saying now.
In the last response you wrote as well.
So what I'm guessing after reading what you wrote, is that the wire I'm looking at is what's passing the 12V from the solenoid to the starter motor?

It may be possible but do what 4Driver4 say, get a new/recon/second-hand starter. They are normally.
very reliable so it should be fairly eassy to find a good one. Just think of the fire risk of a fault with the sort of current a starter motor uses!
