Remote stater question
If you want to put it into valet mode you need to find a small black button under your dash. It should be with in reaching distance (if you are sitting in the drivers seat). Turn the ignition to the run position without cranking and turn it back off. Then immediatly press that black button one time. Your alarm LED will go constant, this means it's in valet. The alarm will not activate as long as it is in valet.
If this doesn't work for you removing it is no piece of cake. If you already lowered the knee bolster and didn't find anything under there, the other places to look are behind the glove box, in the drivers kick panel or under the drivers seat. The Viper alarm/remote start sytems are quite large and should have about 30-40 very colorful wires. In your car depending on how old the system you will have at least 3 black boxes and about 4-6 relay packs which will be joined together in row. When you pull it all out you should have a pile of crap about the size of a basketball, so in other words it should be easy to find.
You can just unplug everything (black boxes & relays)and leave the wires in there. That would be my next recomendation. However depending on the installer you car might not start after this. It should, but it might not! If it doesn't you need to either return the starter relay back into the linup. The starter relay will be the only pack with a green wire coming out of it. Just put that relay back in. If it still doesn't start then you need to trace the green wire up to the ignition column where it will be soldered(hopefully) to your crank wire. The other side of your crank wire will be connected to a purple wire. You want to reconnect the crank wire to itself. This will definatly get you started.
The rest of it is just disconecting wires that have been spliced in and taping up the factory wires.
There are a few ways the locking system could have also been hooked up. If your not getting any response from the factory remote (as far as lock/unlock actuators) but the car is honking as if it was locking. Then re-wireing inside the door panel will be required. That starts to get tricky but I can walk you through it.
Drop me an e-mail if you are really looking to get into it. I'm happy to help out. If you get me the model # I could send you an installation manual as well. Hope all this made sense...Its way to long for me to read!
