Might be purchasing an '00 A6 2.7T, but I have a few questions...

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a used '00 A6 2.7T with a 6spd manual. When browsing the Autotrader ads, I see that some have different wheels than others. Was there an option for bigger wheels? What were the different sizes? Also, what about brakes/suspension? Are those the same on all 2000 A6 2.7Ts? And lastly, what were the different option packages offered?

I tried searching both on AW and Google, but couldn't really find the info I was looknig for.

Go the "Resources" at the top of your screen, then choose Model Guide. That will have it all.

In 2000, there were only two wheels that came from the factory for the 2.7T...

the OEM 16x7" non-sport wheel...

Thanks! That answered most of my questions. However, I do still have one more question...

How come some 2000 A6 2.7Ts have different style black leather seats than others?

Examples:

Just a different look. In 2001 and earlier, you'll see the non-sport seats as pictured in the bottom

...if in the "ambition" atmosphere. I think there were other atmosphere packages that had a similar look to the top picture. In 2002 and later, the non-sport seats are as pictured in the top picture, and they changed the leather a bit to the less shiney finish.

Correct

There were several interior selections (atmospheres) for colors, wood and leather. The leather ranged from fine grain to a coarse grain. From memory there was Advance, Ambition and Ambiente.
