Has anyone's sliding sunroof sunshade broken?
The front clips broke, but the sunshade is attached in the back. The sunshade gets pushed way back, and prevents the sunroof from opening.
So how does the sunshade come off? I looked in my Bentley, but I couldnt make sense of it.
The Bentley did not have very clear instructions for removing the shade, but after some tinkering, I figured it out.
Here it goes:
1) Tilt UP the sunroof
2) Remove the plastic rail caps on each side of the sunroof (sorry no picture)
3) Look for the torx bolts pictured below and remove (three on each side, I cannot recall the size):

4) From outside the car, lift the glass panel up and out, find a safe place to store the glass panel
5) Looking from above, look for the philips screws that hold the clips for the shade panel. In the picture below, you can see the philips head screws securing small rectangular tabs...

6) once the screws are out, you should be able to free up the shade, reseat it in the rails, then reinstall the screws for the shade's tabs, the glass panel and torx bolts, and the plastic rail caps.
