2001-2004 Avant models does not fall into this category. - - ->>>
I called my service adviser and gave them my VIN# and was told that this is for the sedan and ALLROADS only.
(hmmm, thought Allroads and Avant have the same basic components except for Engine and suspension?)
They said that to fix the problem, they have to replace the tank with a new one.
AVANT OWNERS: Can you please confirm with your service adviser?

That's what I did, My local service ran my VIN, came up with nothing, but he said sometimes it takes
time for these to hit his radar.
I called Audi at the number listed in the article and they ran the VIN and came up short as well. They show no recall available.
Last 8 of my VIN: 1N096490
I would love to see the VIN number range this recall applies to.
