Bleeding Brakes

Is it absolutely necessary to bleed brake system at every pad change?

The pedal feel is not perfect but definitely manageable.

Thanks to anyone who doesnt mind answering my dumb question.

No. But it's a good idea.

I like to open the bleeder before retracting the piston so that the fluid in the caliper is pushed out the bleeded rather than back through the master cylinder.

The fluid is supposed to be replaced every two years anyway.

You are in the same area replacing the pads it just is an easy time to do what is routine maintenanc

Get a preasure bleeder from purems works like a charm

The maintence scedule on my car says to do it every 2 years. Appently these cars need it.

The interval is because brake fluid is hygroscopic. Moisture builds up in it over time.
