So my wife got me an early Father's Day present...

A surprise trip to Virginia Motorsports Park to participate with the Virginia Motorsports Club in thier monthly autocross event.

I've never done anything like this and had a terrific time..able to knock down my time from 96 secs to 58 secs by the fifth run.

Impressed with how this big, heavy sedan handled but I can't imagine trying to hustle this thing around a short course with tight turns and slaloms without at least the Sport Suspension, H-Sports, and good tires. It understeered quite a bit and I'm sure running my lighter 17" fat fives and summer tires would help that alot. Brakes (HP2s with Motul 5.1, OEM discs, and PBR Ceramics) held up great.

All in all, a great time running the course and seeing some crazy cars like race-prepped Corvette Z06's and Lotus Exiges.

nice gift....glad you had fun, i autox'd the big girl for a while then graduated to track events

now i run the autox's for the chiacgo audi chapter but i don't run them

What does it cost to enter one of those? I might be more interested in doing that

than a full-blown track event.
